Nylon Insert Locknut 18-8 Stainless Steel

Nylon Insert Lock Nuts (often called Nyloc® Nuts) are Hex Nuts with a nylon ring at the top that grips the bolt threads to prevent loosening from vibration.

How It Works:
  • The bolt threads cut into the nylon insert as the nut is tightened
  • This creates prevailing torque (extra resistance)
Common Uses:
  • Machinery and equipment
  • Automotive and light industrial assemblies
  • General-purpose vibration resistance
The terms “18-8” and “304” are often used interchangeably in reference to Stainless Fasteners and Components. Typically provides better corrosion resistance in most indoor and mild outdoor environments compared to Zinc Plated Fasteners.
