A Hex Head Lag Screw is a large, heavy duty Wood Screw with a hexagonal head and thick, coarse threads designed to be driven directly into wood. Although technically and functionally a Screw, they are also called “Lag Bolts” on the jobsite.

Pilot holes are typically drilled prior to installation to prevent the wood from splitting, reduce installation torque, and to ensure that the screw bites properly for maximum holding power.

Stocked in a variety of materials and coatings. Click on any item for more details.
