Lock Nuts
Nylon Insert Locknuts grip male threads to resist loosening caused by vibration or torque. They are reusable however their effectiveness is reduced after each use. Maximum service temperature is 250° F.
Grade C “All Metal” Locknuts are designed to be used with threaded fasteners with strengths up to SAE J429 Grade 8. The top of the nut is oval shaped which provides a locking force on the male fastener. These nuts are often selected for service temperatures not suitable for Nylon Insert Locknuts.
