Nylon Insert Lock Nuts (often called Nyloc® Nuts) are Hex Nuts with a nylon ring at the top that grips the bolt threads to prevent loosening from vibration.

How It Works:
  • The bolt threads cut into the nylon insert as the nut is tightened
  • This creates prevailing torque (extra resistance)
Common Uses:
  • Marine hardware and fasteners
  • Offshore oil/gas equipment
  • Chemical processing
  • Shipbuilding
  • High-temperature or corrosive industrial environments
Monel is a family of high-performance nickel-copper alloys originally developed and trademarked by the International Nickel Company (INCO) in the early 1900s. Nickel Copper 400 is known for excellent corrosion resistance, especially in seawater and marine atmospheres.

FastPro Tip: Install with the nylon insert facing away from the joint (nylon engages last). Click on any product for more detailed information...
