316L Stainless Steel is an austenitic Stainless Steel with a low Carbon content and Molybdenum in its Alloy. Resistant to corrosion, pitting, and crevice corrosion. 316L Stainless Steel is also resistant to high temperatures and has excellent strength properties.
316L Stainless Steel has better corrosion resistance than 316 Stainless Steel because of its lower Carbon content. 316L is also preferred for welding projects because it's less susceptible to weld decay.
