A common carbon steel Finished Hex Nut specification defined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), SAE J995 Grade 2 Finished Hex Nuts are often referred to by our customers as “standard commercial quality” nuts.

Hot-Dip Galvanized Fasteners feature a thick zinc coating applied by immersion in molten zinc (~450 °C / 840 °F), creating a durable, corrosion resistant surface. Hot Dip Galvanized Nuts are tapped oversize to ensure proper fit after galvanizing.
