Pan Head Sheet Metal Screws are designed to attach thin materials such as sheet metal, plastic, or wood. Their pan-shaped head features a flat top with gently rounded sides, resembling a shallow frying pan, hence the name.

Common Uses:
  • Marine and coastal structures (boats, docks, piers, seawalls)
  • Chemical processing plants (acidic or chlorinated chemicals)
  • Outdoor construction (bridges, signs, or exposed metal joints)
  • Food and beverage equipment (sanitary environments)
  • Pharmaceutical and medical equipment
Type A Point Screws are "Self-Tapping", meaning they can cut or form their own threads in the base material (usually sheet metal, plastic, or wood). Pilot holes are generally required, but not always. Check your application's requirements to be sure.

316 Stainless Steel is an Austenitic Stainless Steel Alloy that contains Chromium (Cr), Nickel (Ni), and most importantly Molybdenum (Mo) which improves corrosion resistance, especially against chlorides (like saltwater) and acidic chemicals.
